Abertawe yn cipio'r bencampwriaeth mewn steil.

Menywod Caernarfon  0 Menywod Abertawe  53

Buan y gwelodd criw Caernarfon, a oedd heb nifer sylweddol o'i chwaraewyr arferol y byddai ffrwyno rhyw gymaint ar ddawn ymosodol yr ymwelwyr yn dalcen caled. Er brwydro yn ddygn, Abertawe oedd y meistri a thryw'r fuddugoliaeth, nhw yn sicr fydd yn cipio pencampwriaeth yr Adran Gyntaf unwaith eto.

Ymosodwyd yn feiddgar o'r eiliad cyntaf gyda Caernarfon yn falch o gyfraniad Greta Jâms a rwystrodd gais cynnar gyda thacl nerthol. Bu i'r ail reng Sarah Williams hefyd gyfrannu yn sylweddol i atal hyrddiadau cynnar y crysau gwynion. Er hyn, o gadw pêl ac amrywio canolbwynt yr ymosod, wedi wyth munud fe ganfu y ganolwraig ryngwladol Kerin Lake y bwlch anghenrheidiol i hollti'r amddiffyn a gwibio'r deugain llath anghenrheidiol i'r linell gais.

Er i Gaernarfon geisio taro nôl, ni lwyddwyd i gynhyrfu dim ar drefn amddiffynol Abertawe a phan oedd pêl yn dod i'w meddiant 'roeddynt yn gwrthymosod gyda chyflymder gan ledaenu'r chwarae. Gwelwyd enghraifft o hyn wedi ugain munud pan i symudiad celfydd orffen gyda Natalia John yn y man ar lle i dderbyn y bas olaf cyn tirio dros y linell gais. Troswyd y cais gan Sasha Bailey.

Arweiniodd Brea Leung, capten y Cofis, trwy esiampl gyda Clair Wright yn addasu yn ganmoladwy ymhlith y cefnwyr. Braf hefyd oedd nodi datblygiad Catrin Williams fel aelod gweithgar o'r pac gyda Elin Royle yn nodweddiadol brysur fel arfer.

Ar y llaw arall cafwyd perfformiad canmoladwy iawn gan Siwan Lillicrap, ac er na chroesodd y linell ei hun, hi roddodd gais ar blât i'r prop Bethan Rickard a wnaeth yn wych i gyrraedd i gefnogi wedi hanner awr. Ceisiodd Beth Davies cefnwraig y Cofis i amrywio'r chwarae gan ddefnyddio y gic fychan dros yr amddiffyn yn effeithiol ond llwyddodd cefnwyr cyflym Abertawe i ddod i'r adwy bob tro.

Yna pan oedd y dyfarnwr yn ystyried galw am hanner amser fe ganfu Kerin Lake fwlch arall a gyda chyflymder trawiadol fe adawodd yr amddiffynwyr yn sefyll i redeg mewn o bellter gan roi trosiad arall cymharol rwydd i Sasha Bailey.

Gyda'r llethr o blaid Abertawe yn yr ail hanner 'roedd disgwyl i'r dasg fod yn anodd i'r Cofis ac yn wir felly y bu, gan i Sasha Bailey, a gafodd gêm i'w chanmol yn fawr, sgorio o fewn y funud gyntaf drwy dderbyn pas a defnyddio ei chyflymder i gyrraedd y gornel.

Draenen arall yn ystlys Caernarfon oedd un o'u cyn chwaraewyr, sef Cara Hope, a fu yn amlwg iawn yn y chwarae rhydd ac a groesodd y linell gais yn dilyn rhediad nerthol ond methu a thirio yn llwyddianus yng ngholwg y dyfarnwr. Yn raddol 'roedd y pwysau yn dweud ar y Cofis, ac wedi gwaith da gan Lillicrap eto i ddod a'i phac o fewn modfeddi, daeth Hannah Jones i'r adwy i gasglu ac ymestyn dros y linell gais. Hope a Lake gyfunodd wedyn i ryddhau Lowri Norkett a chaniatau iddi hithau gyrraedd y gornel o ugain metr.  Yn anffodus wedyn i'r Cofis daeth cais yn syth o'r ail ddechrau gyda Natalia John yn derbyn pas a rhyddhau ei hun o afael sawl chwaraewr a charlamu i'r linell gais. Yna wrth i flinder amlwg lethu sawl un, gwelwyd Robyn Lock hefyd yn torri'n glir o bellter a llwyddo i dirio dan y trawst. Gorchwyl olaf y gêm oedd ymdrech at drosiad arall gan Sasha Bailey, ac fe fu yn llwyddianus, fel yn wir y bu ychydig yng nghynt yn dilyn cais Natalia John.

Llongyfarchiadau mawr i'r crysau gwynion ar eu llwyddiant dros y tymor wrth chwarae rygbi deniadol, sy'n esiampl i eraill geisio ei efelychu.

Stylish Swansea ensure the Championship.

Caernarfon Ladies  0 Swansea Ladies 53.

Caernarfon, who took to the field without a number of experienced regulars found the going tough against a well drilled, confident and competent Swansea outfit. The victory ensured that the All Whites would be deservedly crowned league Champions once again.

Relentless pressure was exerted from the off with Caernarfon fortunate of Greta Jâms's intervention to prevent an early score. Second row Sarah Williams also tackled effectively but international centre Kerin Lake eventually broke the deadlock when finding a gap and sprinting all of forty meters to the line after eight minutes.

The Cofis attempted to get back into contention but Swansea remained composed and when with ball in hand they attacked at pace and always had support players in space. An example was seen within a few minutes when good interplay finally saw Natalia John collect on the inside to score out wide. Sasha Bailey added the conversion to open a twelve point gap.

Caernarfon captain Brea Leung led by example and Claire Wright out in an unaccustomed midfield role adapted well. It was also pleasing to see the development and contribution of young Catrin Williams in the boiler house whilst Elin Royle was her usual busy presence.

The contribution of Swansea's Siwan Lillicrap as a go forward presence was constantly effective and although she didn't cross the try line herself she presented prop Bethan Rickard, who had done well to remain in support, with an added five pointer. Caernarfon full back Bethan Davies did well to vary the play with the chip over the defence working well but the swift Swansea cover always got back to snuff out any clear cut opening.

Then as half time was looming Kerin Lake once again broke free and motored swiftly and gracefully to the try line to give Sasha Bailey another fairly easy conversion.

With the slope favouring Swansea in the second half it was expected that Caernarfon would find the going difficult and so it proved, as Sasha Bailey, who had performed most admirably beat the cover on the outside to score out wide within the opening minute.

Swansea's adopted Gog, Cara Hope, was also a thorn in her old club mate's side being very apparent in open play, with one fine angled run seeing her cross the try line but not succeeding to ground to the satisfaction of the referee. However the constant pressure was beginning to tell on the Cofis and soon one forward surge, led by Lillicrap, brought the visitors to within inches of the try line with flanker Hannah Jones the picking up and crashing over.

The Hope, Lake combination then freed wing Lowri Norkett who had a clear run in from twenty meters to score in the corner. Sadly for the Cofis there followed a try straight from the restart when Natalia John was at hand to collect the final pass and evade would be tacklers to charge over. Then as tiredness was tacking hold Robyn Lock also succeeded to break free and have the pace to ground successfully between the sticks. The final contribution was the successful Sasha Bailey conversion, who had also previously added the extras to Natalia John's try.

The All Whites are to be congratulated on becoming league champions once again and more so for playing in a manner that others should attempt to emulate
